Volunteer
The need for workers remains strong, with around two job openings for each unemployed individual. Additionally, as over 75 million baby boomers are retiring sooner than later, it is evident that employers will require a robust workforce plan to replace those leaving the workforce. If you are a baby boomer who would like to leave a lasting mark on the accounting profession and encourage future generations to pursue a rewarding career in accounting, consider signing up as a volunteer with PRAT. Or, if you are a college student who would like to gain experience working with a mission-driven nonprofit organization, consider enrolling in our internship matching program.
01
Become a mentor
We are seeking baby boomers to play a crucial role in addressing the widening talent gap in the accounting profession by becoming mentors in our mentorship program. By mentoring future generations of accountants, before or after you retire, you will be instrumental in fostering learning, growth, and connectivity in the professional realm for younger generations of accountants.
02
Become an ambassador
The accounting profession in the United States is facing many challenges including technological disruptions, regulatory changes, globalization, ethical dilemmas, and talent shortages. PRAT aims to address some of these concerns with a holistic approach that involves collaboration among educational institutions, professional bodies, and industry stakeholders. We need your help to champion this collaborative effort by becoming a PRAT Ambassador. Our ambassadors champion the merits of working in the accounting profession and collaborate with stakeholders to improve the supply chain.
03
Become an intern
Many nonprofits do not have the resources to effectively compete for accounting talent in the marketplace. We partner with nonprofits and college students majoring in accounting to help fill gaps in talent resources and accounting experience, respectively.
